Why can't students scan the QR code?

Check the session, the screen and the app. Anyone who can't scan can be recorded by hand.

Common causes

• The session has ended — An ended session's code no longer works. Start the session again
• The code is hard to see — A dim screen or too much distance makes it hard to scan. Brighten the screen, or have students come closer
• The app is out of date — Ask students to update the student app
• Camera permission — Ask students to allow the camera for the student app in their phone's settings

Record it there and then

For any student who can't scan, the teacher can record attendance by hand.
